Lo2 Be able to scope and plan content for a personal​ media profile

The first outcome that I produced throughout my digital media course was a three minute rap song produced and written by me. The song was called Dojo and was released to my Soundcloud, It will eventually be released on my Spotify account. Whilst creating this song I used a range of skills. Throughout the pre production process, I used my organizational skills to find the beat that I wanted to use. This took a lot of thought as I wanted to choose the best beat that would fit the vibe that I was trying to convey. I had to use writing skills and use new equipment such as the scarlet mini processor and the rode m1 mic. I also had to connect with another artist so I could feature him on the song Aswell. All of this created a finished product I then needed to market and release. When releasing the song I plan on using my social media to build hype and excitement for the songs release, this can be achieve by sharing snippets of the song and using my audience to share posts that market the song.

The pictures shown are screenshots of the final version of the lyrics. These will be featured in the final song with Ellis when it eventually drops. When reading through it you will see that many of the lines are generic and talk about more women and pop culture. I have talked more about this in my LO3 evaluation and I go deeper into why I chose to use these lyrics and what they mean. 


this is the main verse and as you can see the rhyme scheme is very simple and easy to follow. Which was used to make the song as catchy as possible and easy for the audience to understand. 


Above me is a video that I made talking about all the equipment I use to make music. It also goes into detail about how I use this equipment and the specifics of the song Dojo. Figuring out how to use these was challenging but familiar as they are similar to the ones that are on FL.

Another project that I worked on was creating a music video. 

Underneath this is the newest version of the music video that we improved upon during post production. After listening to feedback me and the team decided to look back at our work and fix a lot of the issues that occurred within the last draft.  One of which was the green screen and special effects that we used. In this newest version we have altered them slightly so that they better fit the theme of the track, plus they no longer look glitchy and unprofessional. We also added a lot more cuts and shortened some scenes, as we felt that they we way too long and uninteresting. With these patches implemented we believe that our product has now improved tremendously and we feel as if our skills in creating a music video have been increased by a huge amount.

In one Unit I was tasked in creating a short film. In this I learnt how to film certain shots with different equipment such as a DLSR and Cannon camera. In this we learn how to create Scripts, storyboards, and how to incorporate shot types and Mise-en-scene into our product. 



This is the final version of our product, including edits, special effects, and sound effects throughout the whole product. In this we all worked together to fit together each scene and implement other sounds and editing techniques to create a professional product. Our product is similar to other parody movies such as the Scary movie franchise, this is because we make fun of many different things featured in horror, thriller, and drama films.

These are examples of my work in Unit 18, which we did alongside unit 5 (the short film unit). In this we had to show off how we learnt how to use the cameras and what we had learnt from researching them, we would then also incorporate this work into our unit 5 short film.

In unit 4 I created a website about me and my music. This meant I had to optimize photos that were in the website such as this one.
